Refunds, Cancellations, and Alteration Guidelines

The Shanvi Commitment

As a luxury bespoke boutique, every garment is handcrafted specifically for you. Our policies are designed to ensure transparency, maintain the highest quality of craftsmanship, and provide you with a flawless final product.

Returns and Refunds

  • Custom & Bespoke Orders: Because these items are tailored to your exact measurements and design specifications, we do not offer returns, exchanges, or refunds on custom-made lehengas, suits, gowns, or transformed outfits once the order is confirmed and the advance is paid.
  • Ready-to-Wear Collection: Garments purchased off-the-rack from our boutique can be exchanged for a different size or style within 3 days of purchase, provided they are unworn, unaltered, and have all original tags intact. We do not issue cash refunds; a store credit will be provided.

Alteration Policy

We take immense pride in our perfect fitting. To ensure you look your absolute best:

  • We offer complimentary basic alterations (tightening, loosening within margins, length adjustments) on all custom orders within 14 days of the final delivery date.
  • Any alteration requests made after the 14-day window, or substantial design changes requested after the initial approval, will incur additional tailoring charges.
  • Weight fluctuations after measurements are taken are natural, but alterations required due to significant body changes may be chargeable depending on the complexity of the rework.

Order Cancellations

  • A custom order can only be cancelled within 24 hours of placing the order, provided fabric sourcing or cutting has not commenced. In this rare case, the advance payment will be refunded.
  • Once fabric has been cut or embroidery has begun, the order cannot be cancelled, and the client is liable for the full balance payment upon completion.

Saree Transformation Guidelines

For clients providing their own fabrics for the Old Saree Transformation service:

  • Please ensure the saree is dry-cleaned before handing it over for transformation.
  • We will assess the fabric strength before accepting the order. However, Shanvi Boutique is not responsible for any latent defects, tearing, or dye bleeding inherent to the old fabric during the transformation process.
